Dr. Dreher is recognized as a business leader in the eye care industry with more than 20 years of experience in vision science. Dr. Dreher is Chairman/CTO for Ophthonix, Inc., an eye care company he co-founded and has raised over $75M for as the CEO since the company’s inception in 2000. Under Dr. Dreher’s leadership, Ophthonix has developed and commercialized two product lines: both which are being rolled out to medical professionals in the US and in Europe.
Prior to launching Ophthonix, Dr. Dreher was President and CEO of Laser Diagnostic Technologies, an ophthalmic medical device company he founded in 1991. Dr. Dreher raised four rounds of venture capital, led the development of the technology, grew the company to more than 130 employees, launched several products, and brought the company to profitability while positioning it for a potential exit. The company was eventually acquired by Carl Zeiss Meditec.
In addition to his success in business, Dr. Dreher was an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Dreher is a graduate of the University of Heidelberg, Germany earning a M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics.
Lee T. Nordan, M.D. – Corneal Transplantation Surgeon (retired) – Del Mar, CA.
Lee T. Nordan was most recently a practicing cataract/IOL and corneal transplantation surgeon and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Nordan is a major authority on refractive surgery worldwide – virtually every prominent LASIK and refractive surgeon in the United States and internationally has been personally exposed to Dr. Nordan's concepts of refractive surgery or influenced by them in some way.
Dr. Nordan's credits include five U.S. patents related to eye surgery, including a multifocal intraocular lens (IOL), used during cataract surgery. He is a well-published author, with many articles and a major textbook in refractive surgery, "The Surgical Rehabilitation of Vision," to his credit. Dr. Nordan has been listed as one of the “Best Doctors in America” from 1994-present and has been referred to by many in the industry as, "the eye surgeon's surgeon." Dr. Nordan has also been a success in start-up companies; receiving over $1M from Johnson and Johnson for a medical technology venture and also being an early-stage investor and advisor to the beverage company South Beach (SOBE) prior to it being sold to PepsiCo.
Dr. Nordan was most recently affiliated with Scripps Memorial Hospital, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the San Diego County Medical Society. Dr. Nordan received his MD from the University of New Mexico and completed his Corneal and Disease Fellowship at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA.

Dr. Frederick Cahn, Ph.D. has over 30 years experience in scientific research, invention, technology and product development, clinical studies, regulatory negotiations, reimbursement and marketing. Dr. Cahn has served on government peer review committees, university industrial advisory boards, and medical product standardization organizations.
